The first all-solar powered train in Hungary has been put into trial operation in a scenic spot near the capital Budapest. The train is green and environmentally friendly, and it is designed to be comfortable. There is no damage to the surrounding environment as it travels within the scenic area.
The whistle that you heard just now is not the sound of a regular train we imagined, but is sent by a small solar-powered "Veli" train. The solar-powered train can reach an hourly speed of 25 kilometers per hour and has been in operation for several months in the Ipoh Forest area near the capital Budapest. The creative prototype of the "Velhi" was proposed by the designers of the Hungary Ganz Plan Engineering Company. The designers hope that such clean energy trains will one day replace the existing trains running on conventional energy sources. Ganz Project Engineering CEO Sandor is more confident in this.
"This train is an important creation because it does not have any equipment that pollutes the local environment. It does not have an internal combustion engine. Nothing can pollute the strict nature reserve here."
The energy required to operate the "Velilly" is provided by the solar panels at the top of the car. At the same time, the "Willie" used the technology used on the F1 racing car when it was downhill - the kinetic energy recovery system. It is through technical means to store the braking energy of the vehicle body and then use it as auxiliary power. The combination of these two sources of energy ensures that the "Velilly" can operate normally even on cloudy days. When visitors take the “Velilly†to enjoy the outdoors, they no longer have to interfere with the noise of traditional trains. The humanized design of movable seats such as the "Velso" also provides convenience for the handicapped.
