On March 19th, the 30th Shenzhen International Furniture Fair was officially opened, attracting furniture and design enthusiasts from all over the world. With the theme of “Vision, Design, and Designâ€, “Design†is undoubtedly the biggest highlight of this year's Shenzhen International Furniture Fair. The holding of the yellow pencil global design award D&AD will push the original design concept of Shenzhen Furniture Fair to a new height.
The opening ceremony of the D&AD of the Yellow Pencil Global Design Awards was held in the North Gate Preface Hall of Hall 1. Mr. Wang Jingsheng, Minister of Propaganda Department of Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Mr. Han Wangxi, Director of Shenzhen Propaganda Department, Mr. Guo Limin, Director of Shenzhen Economic and Information Committee, Mr. Li Zhenqian, Vice Chairman of China Culture Promotion Association, Mr. Zhu Changling, Chairman of China Furniture Association, and Vice Chairman Ms. Zhang Bingbing, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Municipal Furniture Industry Association, Mr. Hou Kepeng, Executive Chairman of the Shenzhen Furniture Industry Association, and Deputy Consul General of the British Consulate General in Guangzhou, Mr. Andrew Massey, and other leaders attended the ceremony.
The Yellow Pencil Award originated in the United Kingdom in 1962. The Global Design Award D&AD is dedicated to the recognition and cultivation of outstanding design and advertising works, and is recognized by the world as a symbol of creative achievement. The Global Design Awards D&AD not only showcases the best works, but continues to provide unparalleled creative inspiration. D&AD, the global design award, also brought "50 years of best creativity and design and 2014 award-winning exhibitions" for Chinese and foreign exchanges.
As mentioned in President Hou Kepeng’s speech, Shenzhen’s “Design Capital†is rooted in Shenzhen’s open urban thinking and urban spirit of adhering to cultural innovation, while Shenzhen Furniture and Shenzhen Furniture Fair can become the most in China’s furniture industry. The exhibition with design connotation also benefited from the innovative spirit of Shenzhen Furniture in its original design.
With the improvement of global brand value in Shenzhen furniture and Shenzhen manufacturing in recent years, and the deepening of cultural and economic exchanges between China and the world, many outstanding design works have emerged in China.
