How to apply chlorinated fertilizer to vegetables

Chlorinated fertilizers are a type of fertilizer with a large production volume and application rate. The use of such fertilizers is of great significance for vegetable production. Various vegetables are sensitive to chlorine. Chlorine-sensitive vegetables, such as potatoes, cabbage, peppers, lettuce, leeks, watermelons, etc., often affect the quality of products when applying chlorinated fertilizers such as ammonium chloride and potassium chloride. For example, too much chlorine will cause the starch content of the potato to decrease, the quality is poor, the sugar content of the watermelon is lowered, the acidity is high, and the fruit flavor is not good. Therefore, chlorine-sensitive vegetables should be selected to contain sulfur fertilizer when selecting fertilizers. Conversely, the application of chlorinated fertilizers to vegetables that are not sensitive to chlorine, such as tomatoes, can save on fertilizer costs.
