At present, the tap collet has a common disadvantage: the bottom hole of the thread must be coaxial with the axis of the tap collet, otherwise the threaded shape of the thread will be incomplete, and the tap may be severely broken or cannot be processed. In order to overcome the deficiencies of the existing tap chuck, a tap collet is provided here, which not only has the characteristics of automatic expansion and contraction and prevention of breakage of the tap when tapping, but also the tap collet can follow the thread bottom The tilt of the hole automatically finds the function of the angle.
The universal retractable anti-break tap collet solves the technical solution of using a single cross universal joint shaft so that the tap axis can be offset from the circumference of the collet body by an angle, and the angle of the offset is used to make the tap and the thread bottom hole Keep coaxial. The follower sleeve 10 presses the torque adjustment spring 12 through the tap chuck 13 and the torque transmitting steel ball 2 drives the square handle of the tap 14. When overloaded, the tap square handle transmits the torque into the steel ball 2 propulsion hole, and the torque transmission steel ball 2 loses the function of transmitting torque, preventing the tap 14 from being broken. The torque adjustment screw 1 is used to adjust different safety torques. When the torque adjustment screw 1 is turned to the end, the limit torque can be obtained.
After several months of repeated experiments, the tap chuck is not only suitable for drilling machines but also for machining thread on lathes. The correct selection of the return spring 4 will directly affect the machining accuracy of the thread.
