Abdulrahman Ben Yazza, Libya’s oil minister, said on Wednesday (November 30) that Libya will be able to achieve its goal of bringing oil production to pre-war levels by the end of 2012.
Ben Yazza said last week: "I think this goal is feasible. We will strive to achieve this goal and strive to complete it in advance. We will do our utmost to do it."
When asked about Libya’s statement on December 4th, OPEC, Ben Yazza stated that Libya only resumed its role and intended to contribute its own quota. He also expressed his willingness to accept discussions on OPEC production.
Ben Yazza said that since the turmoil in Libya’s oil industry will break the balance between the oil sector and the National Oil Corporation, Libya’s oil output will not fluctuate much.
