First, the preparation of tools before use:

(1) Before starting the measurement, confirm whether the measuring tool is zeroed.

(2) Check the measuring surface of the measuring tool for rust, wear or scratches.

(3) Remove the burrs, oil stains or slag from the measurement surface of the workpiece first.

(4) Wipe clean with a clean soft cloth or clean paper.

(5) It is necessary to check the record book regularly and correct it again if necessary.

(6) Place the measuring tools and instruments to be used in proper positions and do not place them in an overlapping position.

Second, the use of tools should pay attention to:

(1) The contact with the workpiece during the measurement should be appropriate and must not be skewed. Avoid touching the measuring surface with your hands to protect the measuring tool.

(2) The measuring force should be appropriate. If the measuring pressure is too large, measurement error will occur and it will be easy to damage the working amount.

(3) The workpiece clamping method should be appropriate to avoid inaccurate measurements.

(4) The rotating workpiece cannot be measured to avoid danger.

(5) Do not force the tool into the workpiece or use the vise.

(6) Do not arbitrarily knock, throw or throw away the measuring tool.

(7) Use of special measuring tools should follow certain methods and procedures.

Third, after the use of maintenance tools:

(1) After use, it should be clean.

(2) Apply the anti-rust oil to the cleaned gauge and store it in the cabinet.

(3) Demolition, adjustment, modification, assembly, etc. shall be carried out by special management personnel and shall not be carried out without authorization.

(4) The performance of the storage tool should be checked regularly and a maintenance record should be made.

(5) It should be inspected regularly to verify that the dimensions are qualified, as a basis for continued use or elimination, and to create a record of comparative maintenance.
