The application of zinc fertilizer in zinc-deficient rice fields has a significant effect of increasing yield and improving quality. However, the application of zinc fertilizer is very scientific. Unreasonable application not only wastes fertilizer, but may also result in reduced production. Therefore, the application of zinc fertilizer in rice fields must master the following technical requirements:
1. Can only be applied in zinc-deficient rice fields. The critical index of effective zinc in soil suitable for rice growth is 0.5 mg/kg. Below this index, the effect of applying zinc fertilizer is good. Generally, calcareous soil is rich in calcium and has a high pH. The effective zinc is easily combined with carbonate or hydroxide to form zinc carbonate or zinc hydroxide, which becomes ineffective, so zinc is often deficient; rice fields with strong reduction are easy. Zinc deficiency; effective zinc is also reduced in rice fields with long-term application of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers. The above types of paddy fields should be supplemented with zinc fertilizer.
2. Apply in moderation. Most of the zinc fertilizer used in rice fields is zinc sulfate, which is generally applied in an amount of 1 to 1.5 kg per mu. Because of the obvious aftereffect of zinc fertilizer, the zinc fertilizer applied in the first season still has the effect of increasing yield in the next season, so the zinc fertilizer does not have to be applied every year, usually 1 to 3 years.
3. Zinc fertilizer should be applied early. The application of zinc fertilizer in Putian has high utilization rate and good effect. It can be applied either by base or spray. The application of zinc fertilizer in Daejeon is best applied in the field.
4. Apply evenly. In order to spread the zinc fertilizer evenly, the zinc fertilizer can be mixed with the physiological acid fertilizer. However, zinc fertilizer should not be mixed with phosphate fertilizer to avoid the production of zinc phosphate which is difficult to absorb and use in rice.
5. The foliar application concentration should be appropriate. Spraying zinc fertilizer as foliar fertilizer is the main method of top dressing, and the suitable concentration is 0.1% to 0.2% zinc sulfate solution. Putian should be sprayed at the 3 leaf stage of the seedlings and 3 to 5 days before transplanting. Daejeon should be sprayed after the seedlings have been transplanted and slowed down for 10-15 days after transplanting, and it is better to spray them continuously for 2 to 3 times.
