The completion of the large-scale aluminum sheet deep processing project undertaken by MCC

The Qinghai High-precision Aluminum Strip Project undertaken by MCC Orienteering Holdings Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Metallurgical, is a large aluminum sheet deep processing project. The current design work is basically completed.

After the project is completed, it is expected to produce 200,000 tons of aluminum and aluminum alloy strips annually, which will become one of the largest aluminum strip production bases in the western region. The project mainly includes public auxiliary facilities such as smelting workshop, strip and workshop, and water system, 110 kV substation, boiler room, and air compressor station.

The project started formally in early 2006. At present, the construction of cold rolling workshops, finishing workshops and elevated warehouses has basically been completed. The hot rolling workshop is carrying out basic construction and cold rolling mills are being installed and commissioned. All are expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
