General safes are to a certain extent both anti-theft and fire prevention, anti-theft and waterproof functions, but different focus only on the market, the safe commonly used material is the steel plate, the standard also has detailed requirements for steel. But nothing can be perfect, the steel plate is strong, and the anti-theft is good, but the disadvantage is also very obvious, that is, the thermal conductivity is also strong. Once a fire occurs, the safe will inevitably become an “ovenâ€. This is a very contradictory "technical paradox" and we cannot ask too much.
Therefore, the fire safe is to add some heat-resistant and fire-proof materials inside the steel plate so as to prevent theft and fire. Theoretically speaking, it is feasible, as is the design concept of most fire safes on the market. Similarly, a waterproof safe is a waterproof material inside the anti-theft material, and then requires strict gaps between the gaps, impervious to water. Of course, due to the different emphasis, when certain brands of safes are dedicated to one point, they will inevitably relax the requirements for another performance. Specializing in fire safes, the anti-theft performance may be reduced, and the same is true for waterproof safes. Problems such as cost and downstream application structure of the market cannot be generalized.
Then, if fireproof and waterproof material is added to the anti-theft material (usually steel), isn't it the best of both worlds that can both be anti-theft and fireproof?
But in fact it is not so simple.
First of all, such a large number of performances of safes are far from enough in terms of technology. Enterprises must fully consider technologies, costs, and market factors. This kind of intermediate technical barriers, policy barriers, capital barriers, raw material barriers, scale barriers, channel barriers, environmental protection barriers, and even dealer infiltrators, upstream and downstream infiltrators, etc., need to be taken into consideration. The prospects for market profitability, market cycle, and seasonality must all be considered.
Therefore, multi-performance safes, at least anti-theft fire, waterproof, and integrated safe have no big market at present. But this does not mean that there is currently no market for market potential in the future.
Just because of the current various links, the application structure of the upstream and downstream markets has not been able to be harmonious, and there are no detailed standards corresponding to the policies, making it impossible to popularize in large areas. At the same time, there are domestic consumers' judgment and acceptance of safe performance. In the concept of use of general household safes (other than those with special needs), the primary issue is theft prevention, fire prevention and waterproofing is secondary, or whether it can be fireproof or waterproof. Although in recent years there have been many performance studies on the safe market, claiming great market potential, it has not contributed to the formation of a large market climate.
