Looking at the development challenges and opportunities of the stone industry in response to environmental changes

The sixth member representative conference of China Stone Industry Association was held. The conference was held against the background of the global response to the financial crisis and the stabilization and recovery of the economy. It was also held against the background of global research on climate change and the threat of climate warming on human survival. China has a clear attitude towards the above two major issues. First, we must overcome the impact of the financial crisis and maintain a stable and rapid economic development. Second, we must save energy and reduce emissions during development and develop a low-carbon economy. Under such a background, there are opportunities and challenges for China's stone industry.

Opportunity, first of all, under the financial crisis, China's economy will continue to develop at a new starting point, providing opportunities for China's stone industry to further develop. Just after the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, China is still standing on a new starting point and will continue to sail forward. The upcoming 2010 is the final year of China's 11th Five-Year Plan, and the 12th Five-Year Plan will begin in 2011. The task of building the first modernization in the eastern part of China is still very heavy. The leader of the Yangtze River Delta--Shanghai should accelerate the development of modern service industry and advanced manufacturing industry. In 2020, it will be basically built into an international financial center and an international shipping center. The Pearl River Delta region must In 2020, it will take the lead in basically realizing modernization; Tianjin will build an international port of 151 metropolises and an important economic center in the north; and Fujian's construction of the West Coast Economic Zone will provide a broad market for the stone industry to continue to develop in the east. The task of urbanization in the planning of the rise of the central region, the planning of the development of the western region, and the planning for the revitalization of the Northeast is very arduous. By the end of 2008, China's urbanization rate was 45.68%. Although there has been great progress, the gap between urbanization and development goals is still very large, especially in the central and western regions. These are the huge space and opportunities for the development of China's stone industry.
