Our factory is a professional factory for the production of medium-speed diesel engines for ships. The connection of threaded holes of many keys of diesel engine has the verticality requirement for the middle diameter of the thread. The original thread vertical gauge design is shown in Figure 1. When in use, the threaded part of the gauge is screwed into the screw hole of the workpiece. The shoulder is attached to the end surface of the screw hole, and the shoulder surface and the screw are inserted with the stopper. Check the thread perpendicularity between the end faces of the holes. However, due to the gap in the thread matching, the measurement result of the thread perpendicularity is too small, and some defective products are judged as qualified products. In the following, the main bearing cap of a diesel engine is taken as an example to analyze the improvement of the thread vertical gauge. The parts are shown in Figure 2. The material is 42CrMo, and the blank is the mold.
