(I) Causes and Prevention of Air Leakage

1 . The cylinder of the cylinder has defects such as cracks or small holes.

3 . The handwheel is not tightened when the pressure relief valve is installed, and the seal is detached or damaged.

4 . The hose is too loose or damaged after being squeezed, or it is cracked or burnt.

5 . The switch core of the stove is lax.

6 . The liquid in the cooking utensils during cooking, such as the soup, porridge, and water in the pot, was used to extinguish the flames of the cooking appliances. The user failed to find out in time and the gas continued to flow out.

(b) Treatment of leaks

Regardless of what caused the leak, special attention must be paid to the treatment:

1 . Indoor can not produce an open flame. You can't smoke in and come in. You can't light it with a lighter, etc., to prevent an explosion due to an open flame igniting a leak.

2. Do not switch on the motor. Because liquefied petroleum gas is flammable and explosive, tiny sparks from switchgears can ignite the leak. At the moment of turning on the power switch, it may be accompanied by deflagration or explosion.

3 . Do not call in the room where the leak is found. Sparks that may be generated by telephone keys can also cause gas deflagration.

The correct way to deal with this is:

First of all, cut off the air supply, ie quickly tighten the bottle valve on the cylinder. Then, open the doors and windows to allow the room to be naturally ventilated, and use a class of tools to manually disperse the leaks to reduce the concentration of LPG in the room.

If the cylinder leaks, the cylinder should be quickly moved to outdoor ventilation, and then sent to the cylinder inspection station for disposal.

Second, the safe use of natural gas

China's gas mainly consists of artificial gas, liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas.

Gas is clean, economical, convenient and has little pollution to the environment. However, gas is flammable and explosive, and large amounts of inhalation can cause harm to the human body and even suffocation. Therefore, basic knowledge of gas should be understood in peacetime. Observe the safe use of gas and ensure that no gas accidents occur.

1.Before use, read the relevant operating instructions and the "General Knowledge on Gas Safety Use" manual provided by the gas company, and keep the room indoors for ventilation.

2. After each use, in addition to turning off the switch of the cooker itself, the front valve of the cooker must be closed. If the gas is not used for a long time, the front valve must be closed.

3. Check the condition of the connecting hose in use to prevent defects such as extrusion, scalding, and cracks. The length of hose connected to the cooker should not exceed two meters.

4. When using gas, be sure to see the stove ignite and then engage in cooking activities, and do not stay away from it to prevent the container from drying out, spilling boiling water to extinguish the fire or blowing out the flames, causing run-off. In the event of a sudden stop of gas, turn off the switch of the gas appliance and call repair or inquiry on the phone to prevent running out of gas supply.

5. Gas pipelines are definitely different from plumbing pipelines. Users are not allowed to dismantle, install or modify them. Installation, transfer, shifting stoves, stopping gas, and recovering gas should go to the gas company to handle the relevant procedures.

6. It is forbidden to install gas pipeline facilities and stoves in the bedroom so as to prevent personal injury during leakage. Do not store flammable materials next to the gas cooker to prevent fire.

7. It is forbidden to wrap gas pipelines, gas meters, and water heaters during renovation so as to prevent them from being found during leaks and to form partial accumulations.

8. If you smell gas smell, stop using it immediately and check it. The simple and practical method is to smear the gas pipe connector with a small brush and soapy water. If it is found that the paint runs, that is, there is a leak, it should be treated as follows:

● Close all valves and cut off the air supply unit (main valve in the user's kitchen on the first floor).

● Open doors and windows for ventilation.

● Never put out an open flame, and do not turn on the electrical switch, such as turning on the light, making a call, etc. to prevent sparks. It is forbidden to wear and remove chemical fiber clothing to prevent static sparks.

● Call the local gas service station for repairs outside the building.

Third, the safe use of gas water heaters

Gas-fired water heaters are used by more and more homes due to their high combustion efficiency, fast heating, and ease of use. However, gas is flammable and explosive, and improper use may cause accidents. Therefore, the use of gas water heaters should pay attention to the following safety issues:

1 . Before purchasing, it is best to consult local gas management department to understand the performance and characteristics of the appliance.

2 . Must be selected by the relevant state departments to test qualified gas water heaters.

3 . When installing and using a gas water heater, it should be done in strict accordance with the manufacturer's product specification. It should be installed by professionals when installing. After the installation, apply soapy water to leak test.

4 . Leakage check should be carried out frequently during use. If there is a crack in the connection hose between the gas source and inlet of the water heater, it should be replaced in time. The gas source main valve must be closed after use.

5 . When using the water heater continuously, be sure to open the door and window for 3-5 minutes so that the indoor and outdoor air can be fully exchanged before continuing to use it.

6 . When using a water heater, pay special attention to the water supply and keep the water pressure balanced. Stop the fire immediately when water is stopped.

7 . No flammable items are allowed on or around the water heater. No flammable articles such as towels and rags are allowed on the exhaust port.

8 . If gas leaks are found, they must be stopped immediately. First turn off the gas main valve and open all windows and doors at the same time. 9 . The coke in the water heater should be promptly removed and cleaned in a timely manner to ensure that the gas is fully burned.
