Euro 226 Renewable Aluminum Alloy Prices Rise

Due to tight supply and strong demand from the automotive industry, the price of recycled aluminum alloy in the European market 226 rose from 1790 to 1840 EUR/tonne to 1820 to 1870 EUR/tonne. A German supplier stated that the price could no longer be maintained below 1800 Euros/ton.

A wave of purchases demanding delivery in September pushed the price at the end of July. Some buyers were caught off guard because of the suspension of production of summer production companies and were unable to source their goods. Most of the transaction price is between 1830 ~ 1850 euros / ton, Germany delivery. The supply was slightly tight, as production companies in Italy and Spain mostly stopped production in August, and supply from September to October will return to normal. The Spanish market price is slightly lower, about 1820 euros/ton.

In the first half of this year, prices in the European market went down because the sources of goods from Russia flowed into the market. This part of the original supply was exported to the Japanese market. Due to the reduced demand for earthquakes in Japan, it had to be diverted.
