Common causes of car battery failure

The life of an ordinary car battery is generally about two years, and the life of a maintenance-free car battery is double that of an ordinary battery. However, in real life, car batteries are often not used until the design life is scrapped in advance. There are many reasons for battery damage, such as over-discharge, long-term storage without charging, no electrolyte or high specific gravity of the electrolyte, contamination with dirt, etc. Now I have an analysis of some common reasons, I hope that everyone can use it properly. It is helpful to maintain the car battery.
  1. The pole pile and the collet size do not match. When the installation is too loose, the current is too large, the contact surface is too small or the contact is poor, and the pole is easily burned out; the installation is too tight, and the pole is slammed when disassembling, which easily damages the pole and causes the battery to be scrapped.
  2. The fixing is unreliable, and the vehicle generates severe vibration during driving, which causes the rubber seal, the outer casing and the cover to be cracked.
  3. If the charging current is too large, the active material on the electrode plate will fall off prematurely and shorten the battery life.
  4. The starting time is too long, causing the battery to discharge rapidly, causing the plate to bend and the active material to crack.
  5. The plate is vulcanized by placing or using it for a long time under insufficient charge.
  6. The surface of the electrolyte is lower than the plate, so that the plate is exposed to the liquid surface and is oxidized by contact with air. During driving, the electrolyte fluctuates up and down and comes into contact with the oxidized portion of the plate, causing the plate to vulcanize.
  7. Impurities are contained in the electrolyte, mainly because the distilled water is impure and a metal container such as copper or iron is used in the preparation of the electrolyte. These impurities form a "small circuit" in the battery, allowing the battery to self-discharge.
  8. Wiping and maintenance is not timely, the overflowing electrolyte accumulates on the cover plate for a long time, causing corrosion of the pole pile and the sandwich, generating oxides, and forming a passage on the cover plate, causing self-discharge phenomenon.
  9. The new battery will not shorten its service life without initial charging or direct high current charging. The new car battery can be installed and used after the electrolyte is filled and must be charged for the first time with a small current.
  10. Ignore the vent hole of the battery. If it is not turned on during the period, the gas generated during use cannot be discharged, and the battery will be damaged due to excessive internal pressure.
  11. After the battery is added with distilled water, it is left for a long time without charging, causing the battery to self-discharge or damage the polarity of the battery.
  12. The charge capacity of the battery does not match the engine, causing early damage to the plates.
Resulting in damage to the battery of the reasons are many, the key is in daily use, should pay attention to maintain good battery

Luxury Pendant Light

Deluxe chandeliers can give your home a more noble feeling.

Most of our luxury chandeliers are made of aluminum as the main body and acrylic as the accessories. The whole lamp is basically made of these two materials. The crystal clear acrylic sets off the beauty of the lamp, and the led reflected from the light source makes the whole lamp body more beautiful.
