(5) Taper processing conditions

1) You must first enter the following parameters:

1 The distance S from the center of the upper guide wheel to the work surface.

2 The distance W from the work surface to the center of the lower guide wheel.

3 workpiece thickness H. As shown in Figure 3.

2) Establishment and exit of taper processing

1 The process of establishing and withdrawing taper is shown in Figure 4: Establish taper machining (G51 or G52), exit taper machining (G50)

3) Analysis of taper cutting processing range and machining error

1 Taper cutting processing range: ±6°/50mm (different machine taper cutting processing range is generally different).

This value is only suitable for graphics with smooth contours.

For a pattern with a non-smooth connection, the edge angle is the compound angle of the two sides, and the value is larger than the cone angle on the surface. Therefore, when the cone angle is 6o, the cone angle on the edge will be greater than 6°. Cutting.

For example, when cutting a square pyramid with a taper of 6°, the taper angle on the rib is 8.792°, which has exceeded the cutting range of ±6° and therefore cannot be cut. As shown in Figure 6.
